Encyclopedia - McDonnell Douglas AH-64 Apache

The AH-64 Apache, which was designed in 1976, proved to be the biggest success story for the Hughes company. The AH-64D Longbow model is still in production nearly thirty years later. It is also produced under license in the UK by GKN-Westland, where it is called the WAH-64.
